More and more responsible pet owners are choosing to board their pets at boarding facilities rather than the alternatives.

ALTERNATIVES...
AND THEIR PROBLEMS

Housesitter:

  1. Leaves front door open just long enough for your pet to dash out looking for his master.
  2. A night at the local animal shelter will frustrate both your pet and your housesitter.
  3. The sitter is kept out by your pet protecting his home, while his master is away.
  4. Your pet, who is normally a well disciplined pet, decides to get even with his master who has left, by totally destroying everything in sight.

Friends and Relatives:

  1. Even though your pet may know the people, he still may feel he is in a strange place and try to escape.
  2. Not being used to children, he may react unfavorably.
  3. May not get along well with other pets.
  4. You will probably be asked to reciprocate when they leave on vacation.

Taking Your Pet with You:

  1. Many motels will not accept dogs or charge extra.
  2. Your pet may become ill due to changes in food and water.
  3. Your pet may become lost.
  4. Serious risk to your pet is the exercise area conveniently designated at most rest areas. There is no way to know what parasite or disease the last animal frequenting the area had.
  5. Your pet becomes overheated and ill when left in a cool car that suddenly becomes 120° when the sun comes out while the family is sightseeing, shopping, etc.
